We built Aquanta Vision because we spent years chasing leaks with handheld sniffers. There is a better way.
Founded in 2024 in Houston, we came from operator-side work where the detection gap was a daily reality. Quarterly surveys were not the answer. This is what we built instead.
Built by people who have been on the pad
The founders of Aquanta Vision came from backgrounds in sensor-fusion pipeline development and atmospheric monitoring for energy sector applications. They spent years building and deploying measurement systems for upstream and midstream operators, watching the same problem repeat: a leak would develop, persist for weeks, and only surface during a quarterly OGI survey. By then the penalty exposure had accumulated and the crew chief had already answered two calls from the compliance desk.
The insight was not that OGI was bad. It was that quarterly inspection is structurally incapable of catching a leak that starts Tuesday and is repaired Thursday before the next survey rotation. Continuous monitoring with AI source attribution closes that window. Aquanta Vision was built to do exactly that, for the operators who live with the compliance calendar every day.
We are a small team operating out of Houston, Texas, the center of midstream infrastructure in North America. We chose Houston deliberately: proximity to the operators we serve is not optional when the product has to fit how field operations actually work.
Who is behind the platform
Babur Ozden
CEO & Co-Founder
Background in operations technology for midstream pipeline systems. Previously worked on sensor integration projects for a leak-detection OEM before moving into operator-side advisory roles. Led the commercial design of Aquanta Vision from initial concept through first pilot deployments.
Marcus Delacroix
Chief Technology Officer
Sensor-fusion systems architect with roots in atmospheric dispersion modeling. Built multi-node wireless sensor networks for industrial monitoring applications before co-founding Aquanta Vision. Designed the inverse dispersion inference layer at the core of the source-pinning engine.
Priya Nair
Head of Data Science
Trained in environmental data science and machine learning through a top-tier engineering program. Built anomaly detection pipelines for industrial IoT systems prior to joining Aquanta Vision. Leads model development, baseline calibration methodology, and false-positive reduction research.
Three principles we hold ourselves to
Field-credible
Designed by people who have been on the pad, in the control room, and in the TCEQ audit meeting. If a feature would not survive contact with real-world operations, it does not ship.
Data-honest
No inflated detection claims, no cherry-picked accuracy figures. Every metric we publish is sourced from pilot deployments and cited with the measurement method. We say less and mean more.
Operator-first
We serve your workflow, not vice versa. Aquanta Vision integrates with what you already run (SCADA, work order systems, email) rather than demanding you adopt a new operations stack to use it.
At the center of North American midstream infrastructure
Houston hosts more miles of natural gas pipeline than any metropolitan area in the United States. The operators, engineers, and compliance teams who run those systems are within reach. That matters when you are building a product that has to work with how field operations actually run.
